Australia
My Journey to success began when I arrived in Australia to pursue a Master’s in Public Health at Macquarie University. Midway, I transitioned to a Master by Research, a decision that presented new challenges. Finding a job on a student visa proved difficult, but my determination never wavered. After completing my studies, I began working as a pathology collector at Laverty Pathology during the week, and as a laboratory aide at 4Cyte Pathology on weekends, working seven days a week. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I often stayed overnight in the lab when requested by my supervisors, earning a reputation as a reliable and dedicated worker. After nearly 10 months, my hard work paid off, and I secured a position as a Scientific Officer in Microbiology at Laverty Pathology. Seeking further growth, I later joined Douglas Hanly Moir Pathology before ultimately landing a prestigious role as a Medical Scientist at Royal Hobart Hospital, Tasmania.
