The Bachelor of Commerce will prepare you to become a business professional in a wide range of careers. You’ll study a set of extensive and integrated foundation units that will orient you to business, followed by one or two majors to develop depth in your chosen discipline. Professional experiences are available with leading industry partners.
In the Bachelor of Information Technology, you’ll acquire foundational skills in programming, data storage and modelling, networking and cybersecurity. You’ll develop broad and coherent knowledge and skills from an area of information technology – such as software design and construction, applied data modelling and analysis, or security problem detection and mitigation – and learn how to apply that knowledge to solve real-world problems. And you’ll learn how to relate your knowledge and skills in information technology to a broader societal context, and make sound decisions regarding ethical and security concerns.

What if I don't meet the requirements?
If you don’t meet the English requirements for your course, you may be issued an offer of study that includes an English preparation program at the Macquarie University English Language Centre (ELC). If you receive a packaged offer, you can apply for a single student visa covering both your English preparation program and your course.
The length of your English program will depend on your current English level and the minimum English requirements for your course. Our admissions team will be able to recommend the number of weeks required when you submit your application.

Student amenities fee
You’re required to pay the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) to Macquarie University in compliance with the Higher Education Legislation Amendment (Student Services and Amenities) Act 2011 (Cth). The fee contributes to services, support and facilities of a non-academic nature.
