About the Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Arts
La Trobe's Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Arts gives you a comprehensive education in the commercial and policy areas combined with the valuable skillset of an arts degree.
This course will enable you to take advantage of the synergies between the two disciplines, and successfully solve complex problems by combining the approaches from both commerce and arts. Merging technical skills and strategic analysis with experimentation and instinctive imaginative thinking has been the secret of world leaders and successful entrepreneurs. Co-designed with industry leaders for high-achieving students wishing to make a difference, the course provides a unique multidisciplinary set of skills and knowledge sought-after by employers and policymakers.
You can tailor your degree to your interests by choosing from more than 30 study areas, including business analytics, finance, psychology, politics, history, sociology, marketing and languages. You can also explore your passions through a diverse range of humanities electives, in fields such as English, visual cultures, and creative writing.

Destination Australia – an Australian Government initiative
The Destination Australia scheme supports new international students to study in regional Australia and offers students a high-quality learning experience. For eligible applicants, these scholarships are worth up to A$15 000 per annum for up to four years.
Subject prerequisites
Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.
English language requirement
6.5 IELTS (Academic) with no individual band less than 6.0.
