How is this score assessed?
Scores for the Nepalese Higher Secondary Education Certificate (HSEC) awarded by the Higher Secondary Education Board from 2018 are calculated based on the cumulative GPA (CGPA) of all Year 11 and 12 subjects.
If you’re unsure about your qualification, you can submit an application and our admissions team will assess it. If you don’t qualify for direct entry, you’ll be considered for a packaged offer with a suitable pathway program from the Macquarie University International College.

English language requirements
All Macquarie University applicants are required to provide evidence of English language proficiency. The standard of English required for entry is based on the IELTS Academic test. Other accepted evidence of English proficiency, including minimum scores on other English tests and qualifications, can be checked using the conversion tool.

You’re required to pay the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) to Macquarie University in compliance with the Higher Education Legislation Amendment (Student Services and Amenities) Act 2011 (Cth). The fee contributes to services, support and facilities of a non-academic nature.

Macquarie University offers a variety of scholarships that recognise a range of factors, including academic or athletic achievement, leadership experience and volunteer work, or financial need and hardship. Additional scholarships may be available for selected areas of study.

Asylum Seeker Fee Waiver Sponsorship
The scholarship supports Foundation, Diploma or Undergraduate study for students who are holders of a temporary or bridging visa and are seeking asylum in Australia.

This scholarship is awarded to all eligible students applying for a Macquarie University bachelor degree through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).
