Summary

With demand rising for performance, rehabilitation and preventative health support, exercise scientists are increasingly shaping outcomes across sport, healthcare and community settings. These include working with elite athletes, supporting injury recovery, contributing to workplace health initiatives, and collaborating with medical and allied health professionals. They’re employed in private practice, hospitals, gyms, aged care, government agencies and professional sport.

The Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science positions you to meet this demand – preparing you to apply evidence-based practice across sport, health and performance-focused careers. You’ll deepen your understanding of human movement and apply that theory during practical work in our world-class facilities, and during in-depth placements in real-world settings. You’ll learn from leading researchers with expertise in running injuries, cardiac rehabilitation, and defence and military performance – with opportunities available to participate in their projects. And you’ll benefit from our academic ties to peak bodies, including Exercise and Sports Science Australia, and the Council of Heads of Exercise, Sport and Movement Sciences.
