About the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science
Help people reach peak performance with La Trobe's Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science.
You'll gain a detailed understanding of the science behind training, explore the strengths and limitations of the human body, and build strong foundations in physiology, anatomy and biomechanics. You'll use data and scientific principles and techniques to help people build strength, regain movement, prevent injuries and perform at their peak.
By completing La Trobe's Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Science, you will:
choose from majors in human performance, allied health and nutrition science, or tailor your degree with a choice of more than 100 open access majors and minors

Subject prerequisites
Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.
Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in one of Health And Human Development, Physical Education, any Mathematics (General mathematics, Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, Further Mathematics), or in one of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology.
English language requirement
6.5 IELTS (Academic) with no individual band less than 6.0.
Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science intended learning outcomes
Apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills to deliver ethical and professional practice within a range of sport and exercise science environments.
Design and safely conduct evidence-informed assessments of human health and function.
Work independently and collaboratively to devise evidence-informed solutions to complex problems in sport and exercise science.
Critically assess established and emerging trends in sport and exercise science to design exercise and physical activity interventions to improve human performance, health and wellbeing.
Communicate ideas and information effectively through diverse modes and media, ensuring cultural sensitivity in interactions with clients, mentors, and colleagues.
