BACHELOR OF ACCOUNTING

Studying the Bachelor of Accounting at CQUniversity gives you the opportunity to pursue an area of interest with your choice of specialisation and prepares you to work in many different areas of accounting.

The course has a strong focus on problem solving, enabling you to communicate effectively when you enter the workforce, a skill that is highly desired by employers.

If you are a domestic student you will also have the option to complete two work integrated learning units as electives, enabling you to gain practical experience and further enhance your employability.


The Bachelor of Accounting gives you the opportunity to study a degree that is recognised by professional accounting bodies throughout Australia and allows you to take advantage of the rapidly changing career opportunities that exist in the modern business environment.


As well as providing you with an accredited accounting degree, you also have the opportunity of completing a major or minors from a number of other business and non-business disciplines.

Admission Requirements

If you were not born in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa or United States of America, you are required to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements set by the University.

Applicants are required to provide evidence of completion of:

  • a secondary qualification (Year 11 and 12, or equivalent), or
  • tertiary diploma level qualification, or
  • bachelor level qualification study for a period of at least 2 years fulltime with a minimum overall GPA 4.0

completed within Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, South Africa, Ireland, or United States of America, which will meet the English proficiency.
