> DIPLOMA OF 3D ANIMATION

  • The Diploma of 3D Animation has been created in a way that gives you plenty of face-to-face time with a network of expert creative practitioners and an opportunity to apply theory and best practices using the latest tools and software.
  • Take a practical first look at illustration, modelling, lighting, shading, animation, and rendering to gain a holistic, foundational understanding of the 3D production process.
  • You will engage in collaborative learning to produce a short animation in response to a client brief. You will also be guided through the production methods needed to pitch effective creative concepts to potential producers.
  • To complement your technical skills, you will graduate with employability skills, introductory project management skills, and scholarly techniques for higher education.
  • Upon completion, you will be eligible for up to 80 credit points toward the Bachelor of Animation.

Entry Requirements

> International Entry Requirements

> Minimum age requirements

> International students seeking admission to SAE must be 18 years of age OR must be turning 18 during their first trimester of studies at SAE.

> Academic requirements

> Successful completion of secondary school studies (assessed as an equivalent of Australian Year 12 secondary studies). Minimum overall pass is required.

> English language requirements

> International English Language Testing System (IELTS): An overall score of 6.0 or higher, OR

> Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): 63 overall (internet-based test); OR

Pearson Test of English (PTE): Academic score of 36 or higher, OR

Completion of Year 12 English in an Australian secondary school or college or equivalent with a minimum result of “Satisfactory” or equivalent.
