Overview
>> Mathematics is often challenging and always rewarding. It is one of the most universal of disciplines, and is the basis on which the modern world is built.
>> Science and business depend on mathematical foundations and mathematicians therefore play an essential role in our society. Mathematics is both ancient and modern; you will examine the number theory that Pythagoras studied around 2,500 years ago as well as the financial mathematics that the highest flyers on Wall Street rely on.
