The Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education is designed to give you the skills and confidence to become an innovative and attuned professional teacher with the knowledge and experience to teach children between birth and five years in private enterprise, government agencies and community-based early childhood education settings, locally or globally.
This ECE diploma qualifies you to teach in the early childhood setting in Victoria. If you are interested in teaching outside of Victoria or overseas, registration will be subject to the criteria of the relevant state or overseas accrediting authorities.
Upon completion of this graduate diploma, you will be qualified to teach in early childhood education settings in most states in Australia and overseas.
The market for early childhood teachers is forecast to remain very strong over the coming years, with an expected 29,000 job openings over the next five years.

IELTS (Academic): minimum overall band of 7.0 (with no individual band below 6.5)
TOEFL (Internet Based Test - IBT): minimum overall score of 94 (with minimum of 19 in Reading, 20 in Listening, 20 in Speaking and 24 in Writing)
Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE (A)): minimum score of 65 (with no communication band less than 58)
C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency: minimum of 185 with no less than 176 in any component.
